Basin House is right in the middle of Whaley Bridge. It's a terraced house, so you've got neighbours on both sides. You get the front patio area to yourself. Parking is for one car on the drive.
It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has everything you need. The stairs are a typical cottage style, so they turn a corner and are a bit steeper than in a modern house.
There's a shared hot tub in the back garden. You share it with one other property and you book time slots for it. It's a good way to unwind after a day walking.
Whaley Bridge is a proper Peak District town. You can walk straight onto the canal path from the house. It's very flat there, good for a gentle stroll. For bigger walks, you're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Peak District National Park has all the maps and routes.
Chapel-en-le-Frith is about a ten minute drive away. Deacons Bank restaurant is there if you want a special meal out. For a day out, Buxton is roughly 20 minutes by car. It's got the opera house and the pavilion gardens. The Goyt Valley is close for walks and reservoirs, maybe 15 minutes drive.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, all bedding and towels included. No pets.
If you're coming with more people, there's another house next door you can book together.
