Lower Stables
Lower Stables is in Trereife, which is just outside Penzance. It's a converted barn, so it's detached and quiet. You're down a private drive so it feels quite tucked away, but you're only a couple of minutes from the main road into town.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's done to a high standard. The kitchen is new and well-equipped. There's underfloor heating throughout, and a multi-fuel burner in the living area for cooler evenings.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or children. There's patio furniture and a BBQ.
Penzance is about a ten minute drive. It's got the usual shops, supermarkets, and the art deco lido. The harbour for the Scilly Isles ferry is there too. Newlyn, the working fishing port, is even closer. It's got some good pubs.
For places to visit, St Michael's Mount at Marazion is a must. You can walk over at low tide or get the boat. The Minack Theatre is about a 25 minute drive. It's an open-air theatre carved into the cliffs. You can book tours if there's no show on. The National Trust page for St Michael's Mount is useful for tide times and tickets.
Mousehole is a pretty harbour village about 15 minutes away. For gardens, Trewidden is within walking distance and has a tea room.
Facilities wise: it's got parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
