Grouse Glamping Pod
The Grouse Glamping Pod is on the Oakwood Caravan and Camping Park just outside Aviemore. It's detached, so it's just you and a bit of space. It sleeps three, but that's three in one room – it's a double bed with a bunk bed above it.
Inside, it's compact. You've got a little kitchen area with a hob for cooking. There's a collapsable table. The shower room is small but it works. It's rated 3 Star. It’s clean and dry and warm, which is what you need.
You get bedding and towels included. There's parking right next to the pod. The site has a playpark, which is handy if you've got kids.
Location is really the main thing here. You're right in the Cairngorms. You can see the mountains from the door. The ski centre is about a fifteen minute drive for winter sports. In summer, you can get the funicular railway up for the views. For walking, you're spoilt for choice. The Rothiemurchus estate is just down the road.
Aviemore village is a couple of miles away for shops and cafes. There's a golf course nearby, and places that do horse riding and fishing. If you want a big day out, the Landmark Forest Adventure Park is about a ten minute drive.
