Cairn View

Cairn View is a bungalow in Coylumbridge, just outside Aviemore. It's detached, with its own garden and patio. You park right next to it.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, and everything is on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and well kept, not old and draughty. The access is good, with no steps from the parking area to the front door, so it works if someone has mobility issues.

You can bring two dogs. There's a woodburning stove for the evenings, and a barbecue outside. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are provided.

The main thing people ask about is the hot tub. It's private, just for this cottage, out on the patio. There's also a digital infrared sauna inside.

Aviemore village centre is about half a mile away. There's a supermarket, pubs, and places to eat. You can walk it in ten minutes, or drive in two.

You're right in the Cairngorms National Park. For walking, you can go up into the Cairngorms themselves or just stroll around Loch an Eilein. For something different, you can visit the reindeer herd in Glenmore. In winter, the ski slopes are about ten minutes up the road by car. In summer, the mountain bike trails at Glenmore are very good.

Loch Morlich is a few miles away for water sports or just a swim if you're brave. The Rothiemurchus Estate is nearby for fishing or other activities.

If you want a day out, the Highland Wildlife Park is about a 25-minute drive. The Landmark Centre in Carrbridge is about 15 minutes away. For train enthusiasts, the Strathspey Railway runs from Aviemore station.
