The Lookout is a detached house just on the edge of Aviemore. It's in a quiet spot, up a bit of a slope. You get the whole garden to yourselves, it's fully enclosed.
It sleeps ten, in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star, which basically means it's got good quality stuff and is well looked after. It's spacious inside, and there's a separate room for kids to play in. You get all your bedding and towels.
The house is on a quiet road next to a children's play park. You can walk into the town centre in about fifteen minutes. There's a shop, pub, and restaurants about a quarter of a mile away. The views from the front are straight out over the fields to the Cairngorms.
For getting outdoors, you're right on the edge of the Aviemore Orbital cycle path and the High Burnside mountain bike trails start practically from the gate. Loch Morlich and Loch Insh are a short drive for watersports. The Cairngorm Mountain Railway starts about fifteen minutes away by car.
Other things nearby include the Landmark Forest Adventure Park, the Highland Wildlife Park near Kingussie, and the Spey Valley Golf Course. Aviemore itself has all the shops you'll need and plenty of places to eat.
For a proper day out, the west coast or somewhere like Glenfiddich distillery are within an hour and a half's drive. The Cairngorms National Park website is good for planning walks and activities.
Facilities at the house: there's parking for a couple of cars on the drive. It's pet friendly, up to two dogs. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove, and a BBQ. There's also a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
