The Lookout is a house in Aviemore. It's detached, up on the edge of town so it's quiet. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. You get a clear view of the Cairngorms from up here.
It sleeps ten, with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which basically means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's spacious, and there's a separate room for kids to play in. The stairs are fine.
You're right next to a children's play park and the High Burnside mountain bike trails. The town centre, with shops, a pub, and restaurants, is about five minutes walk down the hill.
For skiing or a trip up the mountain, the Cairngorm Mountain base is about ten minutes drive. You've got Loch Insh and Loch Morlich close by for water sports. The Aviemore and the Cairngorms page has a good overview.
The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre is up that way too. The Highland Wildlife Park is near Kingussie, about a fifteen minute drive. Speyside is famous for whisky, so there are plenty of distilleries within half an hour if that's your thing.
Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, a BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV with a big movie library. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking on site. Up to two dogs are allowed.
