Granite Cottage

Granite Cottage is in Boat of Garten. It's a detached house, about 130 years old. It's just a house on a street in the village, nothing fancy from the outside. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 2 Star place. That means it's comfortable and has what you need, but it's an old cottage. The walls are thick. It's got character, but don't expect luxury.

There's a wood burning stove, which is good. The garden is enclosed. You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside.

The village has a shop and a pub, both a short walk away. The Strathspey Steam Railway stops here. You're right on the edge of the Cairngorms. It's about half an hour to the ski lifts at Cairngorm Mountain, or 40 minutes to the Lecht.

The RSPB reserve at Loch Garten is very close. You might see ospreys. For water sports, Loch Morlich and Loch Insh are a short drive. The River Spey is nearby if you fish.

Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding is included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
