Battanropie Lodge

Battanropie Lodge is in Carrbridge, in the Cairngorms National Park. It’s a detached house, so no neighbours on the other side of a wall. You’ve got your own garden, enclosed, which is handy with dogs. The back of it goes down to the river. There’s a patio out there with some furniture.

The house sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite shower. The third bedroom has twin beds. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-equipped.

Inside, the main living area is open plan. There’s a wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen has an Aga. There’s a utility room with a washing machine and a door straight out to the garden.

It’s about a ten minute walk into the village. There’s a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and some good cafés. The local golf course is often quiet. Right from the house, there’s a woodland walk along the river. You might see red squirrels.

You’re well placed for getting out. Aviemore is about a fifteen minute drive south. Loch Garten and the Abernethy Forest are a similar distance east. Inverness is about half an hour north. The coast at Nairn is maybe forty minutes.

For facilities, pretty much everything you’d need is here. There’s parking, wifi, a cot and highchair if you need them. Dogs are welcome, up to three. Bedding and towels are included.
