Strathspey Lodge is in Duthil, a small hamlet in the Cairngorms National Park. It's a detached house that sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms.
It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. There's a woodburning stove, open plan living, and a patio garden. The views are the main thing, looking out over fields towards the mountains. It's quiet.
The stairs are fine. It's all on one level apart from one bedroom and bathroom upstairs, so that's worth knowing.
The village of Carrbridge is two miles away. It has a shop, a pub, and a cafe. The historic packhorse bridge is there too. For a bigger shop or more restaurants, Aviemore is about a 15 minute drive.
You're right in the National Park here. Walking and cycling start from the door. In winter, the ski centres at Cairngorm Mountain and The Lecht are within about a 30 minute drive. For other activities, Loch Morlich has watersports and a beach, and the Strathspey Steam Railway runs from Aviemore to Broomhill. The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre is nearby.
If you want to explore further, the Moray Coast with its dolphins is about an hour north. Loch Ness is just over an hour's drive.
Facilities: it has parking, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
