The Heathers
The Heathers is in Boat of Garten. It's a three bedroom bungalow. It sleeps five and has one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is fair. It's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
You're right in the village. There's a gallery cafe, a pub, and a restaurant a few minutes' walk away. The bungalow is all on one level, which is handy. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids or a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet.
You're in the Cairngorms National Park here. There's a woodland walk that starts about 50 yards from the front gate. The RSPB reserve at Loch Garten is very close, that's where the ospreys are. The village golf course is just down the road.
For getting out, the Strathspey Steam Railway runs from the village station. The Cairngorm Mountain resort is about a 20 minute drive for skiing or walking. Loch Morlich, for water sports, is maybe 25 minutes. Aviemore is about 15 minutes by car for bigger shops.
Inside, it's practical. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. The bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive. We have a highchair if you need it.
