Birch Tree Cottage is a bungalow just outside Aviemore. It's detached, so you won't hear neighbours. You're in the Cairngorms National Park, but only about a ten minute drive from the shops in Aviemore itself.
It sleeps five in two bedrooms. They're both doubles, and we can put a single bed in the second room if you need it. There's one bathroom with a shower. Everything is on the ground floor, no stairs.
It's got a proper wood burning stove, which is good for the evenings. The sun room looks south, over the garden and then fields with birch trees. It's very quiet. The garden is enclosed.
Aviemore has the shops, cafes and a cinema. There's a local pub about a five minute walk away. They do food. For outdoors, you're right in it. The Cairngorms are there for walking. You can ski in winter at the Cairngorm Mountain resort. There's fishing and a golf course nearby.
You're well placed for day trips. Loch an Eilein is a beautiful spot about fifteen minutes away. Kingussie and Newtonmore are about twenty minutes down the road. If you fancy a longer drive, you can get to Fort William or Inverness in about an hour.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher and a BBQ. We include all bedding and towels. A cot and highchair are here if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
For planning visits, the Cairngorms National Park Authority site is really useful.
