Birch Tree Cottage is in Aviemore, up in the Cairngorms. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's good if stairs are a problem for you.
It sleeps five, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The house is on a small estate, tucked back off the road so it's quiet. There's a sun room on the back that looks out over a bit of parkland and trees. You get a south-facing terrace out there. It's enclosed, so it's private. There's a BBQ.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's a woodburning stove for the evenings. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
You can walk to a shop and a pub in about five minutes. The pub does food. Aviemore centre is about a ten minute drive for more shops and places to eat.
Where it really scores is the location. You're right in the Cairngorms National Park. You can see the mountains from the garden. Walking and climbing straight from the door if you want it. There's a golf course nearby. In winter, you're about twenty minutes from the ski slopes at Cairngorm Mountain.
No pets, I'm afraid. There is parking right outside the cottage.
