Stag's Hide
Stag's Hide is a cottage about a 20 minute walk west of Aviemore centre. It's detached, surrounded by trees and fields. You'll see pheasants and squirrels around the place, and sometimes deer in the distance.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles. One bed can be split into twins if you need it. There's one bathroom, a wet room with a rainfall shower on the ground floor. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.
The living area is open plan with a wood burning stove. It's good for drying boots. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's parking right outside. You can bring one dog.
Aviemore has shops, places to eat, and a cinema. For walking, the Old Military Road path goes past the cottage. Loch Alvie is about 20 minutes on foot through the woods. The Cairngorm Mountain resort is a short drive away for skiing in winter or walking in summer. The Cairngorms National Park site has information on all the trails and activities.
If you want to go a bit further, Loch Morlich and the Glenmore Forest Park are about ten minutes by car. The zip wire adventure park is nearby too. There are several distilleries in the area, including Kinrara which is a short walk from the cottage.
