Cairnie View is a detached house on the edge of Aviemore. It’s in a quiet spot, but you can walk into the centre in about fifteen minutes.
The house sleeps seven. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s got a 3 Star rating. Everything works, and it’s clean and tidy.
The garden is enclosed, which is useful if you’re bringing a dog. You can bring one well-behaved dog. From the back of the house you can see the Cairngorms. That’s what the name means.
Inside, it’s straightforward. There’s a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for two cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We’ve got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For local information, the Cairngorms National Park website is good. The National Trust for Scotland page has details on some of the walks and estates nearby.
Aviemore has shops, pubs, and places to eat. The area is for being outdoors. In winter, the ski slopes at CairnGorm Mountain are about a fifteen minute drive. In summer, people go walking, cycling, or to the Loch Morlich beach. The Landmark Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge is a ten minute drive, and the Highland Wildlife Park near Kingussie is about twenty minutes away.
It’s a good base. You can be in Inverness in under forty minutes if you need a bigger city.
