Rowan Cottage
This is Rowan Cottage, on the edge of Aviemore. It's detached and sits up a bit from the neighbours, so you get a good view of the Cairngorms right from the front.
It's a big place. Sleeps six, three bedrooms, and each one has its own bathroom. That's handy. There's a double, a twin, and a master bedroom with a bath. The living room has a wood burner. The kitchen is a decent size and leads into a utility room, which has a door out to the garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs.
There's a conservatory off the dining room. It gets the sun and has the best view of the mountains, you can see the ski runs from there. We've left space for storing bikes and outdoor kit. You could fit a canoe in there if you had one.
The town centre is about a five minute walk. There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat there. For skiing, Cairngorm Mountain is about twenty minutes up the road by car. In the summer, there's walking, cycling, watersports on Loch Morlich, and fishing on the Spey. The area is busy with it all.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. You get parking for three cars. All bedding and towels are included. Pets are welcome, up to two. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi.
