The Chalet is up near Duackbridge. It's detached, right at the edge of the garden where the forest starts. You can prop open the stable door in the living room and just watch the trees.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms. One has a double bed that can be split into two singles. The other has bunk beds and a single bed. There's one shower room.
Inside, it's all open plan. The wood burner is in the middle of the room. It heats the place well. There's a TV with Freesat, and a DVD player. The kitchen has what you need: microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer.
It's a quiet spot. There's no landline phone and mobile signal is patchy, but 4G is available if you move around a bit. It's a good place to switch off.
The pub is about three and a half miles away. They do food. There's fishing nearby if that's your thing.
For bigger days out, Inverness is about a 30 minute drive. Aviemore is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. The Cairngorms National Park is right on the doorstep for walking. The National Trust for Scotland has properties all over if you fancy a historic house or garden.
Practical stuff: bedding and towels are included. There's a travel cot and a highchair. Parking is right outside. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
If you're coming with more people, The Bothy next door is sometimes available to book together.
