The Chalet
The Chalet is at Mondhuie, which is near Duackbridge in the Highlands. It's tucked in at the forest end of the garden. You can watch the woods from the stable door.
It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has what you need. Everything is on the ground floor, which is useful.
Inside, the main room is open plan with a kitchen and living area. The wood burner is good. There's a TV with Freesat, and a DVD player. The kitchen has a microwave, washing machine, and a tumble dryer.
The main bedroom has a double bed that can split into two singles. The second room has bunk beds and a single bed. You can fit a travel cot in the main room. There are grab rails in the shower room.
You're right by the forest. It's quiet. The phone signal is 4G if you need it, but it feels a world away. There's parking right outside, a garden area, and a BBQ.
The nearest pub and restaurant is about three and a half miles down the road in Duackbridge. It does food. There's local fishing if that's your thing.
You're well placed for the Cairngorms. Aviemore is roughly a 30 minute drive for shops or the ski centre. The Cairngorms National Park website has all the details on walking and activities. For history, Historic Environment Scotland lists the castles and sites nearby.
Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. It can be booked with The Bothy next door if you've got a bigger group.
