Caberfeidh is a small, single-storey cottage. It's detached, so you won't have neighbours through the walls. It's on the Skye of Curr road, near Dulnain Bridge.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. Good shower. There's a woodburner, and we leave you some logs to get started. The garden's enclosed and looks out towards the River Dulnain. You get red squirrels and a lot of birds in the trees next to it.
You're right in the Cairngorms National Park. It's very quiet. For a shop or a pub meal, Grantown-on-Spey is about three miles. It has what you need. Aviemore is about fifteen minutes by car for bigger supermarkets.
You're in a good spot for getting out. Walking starts from the door. For proper hills, lochs, or mountain biking, you drive into the park. It's all within ten to twenty minutes. In winter, the ski slopes at Cairngorm Mountain are about half an hour away.
If you want a day trip, you can drive to the Moray coast in just over an hour. Chanonry Point is good for spotting dolphins. The other way, towards Braemar on Royal Deeside, is about the same.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. We've got a cot and highchair if needed. No pets, sorry.
