The Bothy
The Bothy is on our land in Duackbridge, near Nethy Bridge. It's a small, detached building. It used to be for farm workers, now it's a holiday let.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bed can be a double or two singles. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and functional.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen, living area, and a wood-burning stove in the corner. That stove heats the whole place really well. There's a TV and a DVD player. We call it a techno-free zone, but you can get 4G on your phone. The wifi is weak.
It's all on the ground floor. There's a step up into the building, but there are grab rails. The bathroom has a shower cubicle.
You get the garden area to yourselves. There's a BBQ and space to store bikes. We can provide a cot and highchair.
We allow one well-behaved dog.
The nearest pub is about three and a half miles away in Nethy Bridge. They do food. For a bigger shop, Aviemore is a 20-minute drive.
You're right in the Cairngorms here. Good for walking, cycling, and fishing on the Spey. You can drive to the Cairngorm Mountain ski area in about half an hour. The Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig is about 20 minutes away.
