Mountain Bear Lodge
This is Mountain Bear Lodge. It's a big detached house about a mile outside Nethy Bridge, up in the Scottish Highlands. It's private, on the edge of the old Caledonian forest, so you get views over moorland and you'll see red squirrels and deer about.
It sleeps 14. Six bedrooms, five bathrooms. We had it all redone at the end of 2022, so everything's new. The kitchen's big with good appliances, and the living area has plenty of space with three big sofas. There's a snug as well with a desk and some bean bags.
You're right in the Cairngorms National Park. Aviemore is about 12 miles away for shops and places to eat. For outdoors stuff, it's all here: walking, cycling, water sports on Loch Insh or Loch Morlich. You can go up the Cairngorm Mountain Railway, see the reindeer, or visit the RSPB reserve at Loch Garten. They're all within half an hour or so.
There's a hot tub in the garden. Off-road parking, and an electric vehicle charger. It's got a games room, and we allow up to four dogs. The first one comes free, then it's £25 for each of the other three.
