Mountain Bear Lodge
Mountain Bear Lodge is just outside Nethy Bridge in the Highlands. It's a big detached house, set back from the road on its own bit of land. You look out over moorland towards the hills. It's quiet. You'll see red squirrels and deer around.
It sleeps fourteen, which is a lot of people. Six bedrooms, five bathrooms. It was all done up properly at the end of 2022, so everything is new and works well. The kitchen is big, with good appliances. There's a main living area with sofas, a separate snug with games, and a large dining table. The bathrooms have underfloor heating.
The garden has a hot tub. There's parking and an electric car charger.
You're about a mile from Nethy Bridge itself. There's a farm shop, a pub and a restaurant there. Aviemore is twelve miles away. That's where you'll find most of the shops and supermarkets.
You're right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. For walking, you can head straight out from the door. The Cairngorm Mountain Railway, the Reindeer Centre, and Loch Garten are all a short drive. The Highland Wildlife Park near Kingussie is about twenty minutes away. If you want a day out, the Moray coast with its beaches is roughly forty-five minutes north.
