Sunnyside House

Sunnyside House is near Carrbridge in the Highlands. It's detached, which means you get good views and nobody right next to you. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.

It sleeps eight. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it's a good size for a few families or a group. It's got a 5 Star rating. They've done it up well, so it feels comfortable rather than just fancy.

The main things people ask about are the hot tub and the wood burner. They're both there and they work. The hot tub is out the back. You can see the Cairngorms from it on a clear day. The wood burner is straightforward to use.

You can bring up to two dogs. They provide dog beds and bowls, which is useful.

Carrbridge village centre is about a mile away. There's a local pub and restaurant within half a mile for food. A bigger shop is in Aviemore, which is about an 11-minute drive. Aviemore has supermarkets, more places to eat, and the Dalfaber leisure centre if the kids need a swim.

If you're here for the outdoors, you're in the right spot. You're in the Cairngorms National Park. Walking and cycling routes start practically from the door. For skiing or the funicular railway, Cairngorm Mountain is about a 20-minute drive. The Landmark Forest Adventure Park is very close, maybe five minutes by car. For something different, the Highland Wildlife Park near Kingussie is about 25 minutes away.

Further out, Loch Morlich for water sports is about 20 minutes. The Moray Coast with its beaches is around an hour's drive.

Inside, there's a washing machine, a games room, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right at the house.
