Tall Pines is a bungalow in Carrbridge. It's detached and on one floor. It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms, with two bathrooms. The living room has a multi-fuel burner, so it's warm even when it's cold outside.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids. It’s quiet here, set back from the road with trees around it. There's parking right outside.
Inside, it's got what you need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The furnishings are decent.
You can walk into the village in a few minutes. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about 300 yards away. For a bigger shop, Aviemore is seven miles down the road. It’s got all the outdoor stuff: skiing in winter, and riding or watersports in summer. There's a train station in Carrbridge too, if you fancy a day out without the car.
The area is good for walking. You can start right from the gate. For a proper day out, the Cairngorms National Park is on the doorstep. Landmark Park, which is an adventure heritage park, is very close. The Highland Wildlife Park near Kingussie is about half an hour's drive. If you like whisky, there's the Cairngorm Whisky Centre in Aviemore, and plenty of distilleries not far away.
Golf is nearby, with a course less than a mile away. For a special round, the championship course at Nairn is about thirty minutes drive, on the coast. Inverness is 24 miles north if you want a city day, or to see a castle.
Bedding is included. There's a highchair if you need one. Sorry, no pets.
