Tall Pines
Tall Pines is a bungalow in Carrbridge. It's on one floor, which is handy. Detached, so it's just you. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or just want some privacy. It's sheltered by trees so it feels quite tucked in.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious. The multi-fuel stove in the living room makes it properly cosy in the evenings.
The place is quiet, but you're not cut off. There's a shop, a couple of pubs, and places to eat about a five minute walk away. They're all fine. There's a local golf course less than a mile away.
You're right on the edge of the Cairngorms here. Good woodland walks start almost from the doorstep. For bigger days out, Cairngorms National Park is all around you. Aviemore is about seven miles up the road. That's where you go for watersports, the climbing wall, or the cinema if the weather turns.
Landmark Forest Adventure Park is very close, which is a big hit with families. The Highland Wildlife Park in Kingussie is about a 20 minute drive south. If you're into whisky, you're in the right spot. The Speyside distilleries and the Cairngorm Whisky Centre are easy to get to.
Inverness is about half an hour away by car. You can get the train from Carrbridge too, which is useful.
What's here: parking for a couple of cars, bike storage if you need it, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and satellite TV. Bedding is included. We can provide a highchair. No pets, sorry.
