The Steading Apartment, No9 is a ground floor flat in Aviemore. It's part of a modern block in a quiet residential street.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy. Everything's on one level, so it's good if stairs are a problem. The front door is wheelchair accessible. You walk straight into a big open plan living, kitchen, and dining room. There's a patio door that opens onto a small garden area with a table and chairs. It's not a huge garden, but it's yours.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's clean, modern, and well-equipped. The beds are comfortable. It's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside.
You're about a ten minute walk from the village centre. That's where the shops, pubs, and restaurants are. There's a supermarket there too. Aviemore itself is busy, especially in winter and summer. It's right in the middle of the Cairngorms National Park.
From the door, you can walk straight onto paths into the woods or along the river. For skiing, the Cairngorm Mountain resort is about a fifteen minute drive. In the summer, people come for the walking, cycling, and climbing. You see a lot of deer about. If you're quiet, you might spot other things. For organised wildlife spotting, the Cairngorms National Park Authority website has good information.
Within half an hour you can drive to Loch Morlich for the beach and watersports, or up to the ski centre car park for the higher mountain walks. The Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig is about fifteen minutes away. Further south, towards Newtonmore, there's the National Trust for Scotland's Glenfeshie estate for more walking.
The flat has everything you'd need for a week. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
