Monthly Tutor's Cottage

Monthly Tutor's Cottage is in Fishguard, right down by the harbour. It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place.

It's old. Grade II listed, built around 1810. The walls are thick, made from local stone. Because it's listed, nothing about the structure can be changed. The windows are original Georgian with lots of small panes. You adjust the ventilation by wedging them open. It's 65 yards from the sea.

Downstairs there's a kitchen and dining area and a living room with a wood burner. There's a TV with a DVD player, and some books and games. Upstairs, one bedroom has a double bed, the other has twin beds. Both have a vanity unit.

Outside there are two gardens and an orchard that get sun all day. There's garden furniture and a barbecue. The lower garden has a woodshed with logs for the fire.

The sea is literally at the end of the lane. You can walk along the coast path straight from the door. There are several small coves nearby for fishing or looking in rock pools. The path goes to Goodwick, where the ferry to Ireland goes from. There are six pubs within a few hundred yards.

For a bigger beach, Newport Sands is about a 15 minute drive. St Davids is about half an hour away.

Facilities: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels are included. There's parking. No pets.
