The Bears Cave is a cottage in Fishguard Lower Town. It's one of the old houses right on the quay, so you look straight out over the harbour.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms upstairs. The stairs are steep, by the way, and fairly narrow. It's that kind of house. There's one bathroom, with a bath and an electric shower over it.
The back garden is up a flight of steps from the house, about thirteen of them. It's got a great view back over the harbour. The garden is enclosed.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. There's an open fire in the living room. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a cot, and parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
Being on the quay, you're right in it. You can hear the boats and the gulls. The pub is a two minute walk. There's a small supermarket a bit further up the hill in the main town.
For a proper beach day, Newport Sands is about a fifteen minute drive. Goodwyn is close too. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right past the town. St Davids is half an hour away if you want to see the cathedral. For boat trips or information on the coast, Visit Wales Pembrokeshire is useful.
Oh, and it's been in a film, years ago. Under Milk Wood, with Richard Burton. That's why it's listed.
