The River House
The River House is in Arundel. It's on the main road that goes down to the coast. It's a Victorian terrace house, tall and narrow like they are. You can walk to the town centre in about five minutes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so that's handy. One bathroom is on the ground floor. The main bedroom is right at the top, with windows looking towards the River Arun. The stairs are standard for a house this age, so they're a bit steep and winding.
It's been done up recently. The living room is a good size and has an open fireplace. The kitchen has underfloor heating. Out the back there's a private garden that gets the sun in the morning. It's split level, with seating areas at the top and bottom.
The town is nice for a wander. There's the castle, the cathedral, and a few antique shops. The castle is worth a visit if you're into history. Arundel Park is good for a walk. The river is right there, and the Wetland Centre is known for its birds.
If you want the beach, you drive south. Climping and Littlehampton West Beach are about ten minutes away. They're quiet, not resort beaches. Goodwood, Fontwell Racecourse, and Chichester are all within half an hour if you want a day out.
Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking for one car on the drive.
