Ashby Cottage
Ashby Cottage is in Arundel. It's a three-storey house on a quiet street, about five minutes' walk from the high street.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There are two living rooms, which is handy if someone wants a bit of quiet. The main one downstairs has an open fire.
The garden is enclosed. There's a patio, a bit of lawn, and a barbecue. It backs onto fields with horses.
You're right in the town. The castle and the cathedral are the obvious things. Arundel Castle is worth a visit if you're into history. You can walk up the keep for the view. The town itself is good for pottering about in antique shops and cafes.
The river is there for a stroll. The WWT Arundel wetlands are good if you like birds.
It's a straightforward drive to the South Downs for walking. The coast at Climping or Littlehampton is about ten minutes in the car if you want a beach.
Facilities: everything you'd expect is there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TVs. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
