Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is just outside Wick in West Sussex. It's over the lane from my house. It was the old stables, so it's a single, detached building. The garden is shared with us but there's plenty of space.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both downstairs, and each has its own bathroom. One has a wet room which is good if you have mobility issues. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. It's an upside-down house, so you live upstairs. That's because the views are better from there. You can see the fields and Arundel Castle in the distance.
There's a pub about 300 yards down the road. They do food. The village shop is there too. The coast at Littlehampton is about three miles. For a nicer sandy beach, you'd drive to West Wittering. That takes about half an hour.
You're right on the edge of the South Downs National Park. Arundel is very close. It's got the castle, the cathedral, and the wet centre for birds. Goodwood is about twenty minutes away for the horse racing or the festival. Fontwell racecourse is even closer.
There are a lot of National Trust places nearby if that's your thing. Petworth House, Nymans, that sort of thing. Brighton and Portsmouth are both within a forty minute drive, depending on traffic.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's no wet room. Sorry, no pets.
