Pensway
This is Pensway. It's in Burpham, West Sussex. Burpham is a small village in a cul-de-sac, so there's no through traffic. It's quiet.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's an old cottage from the 1700s, so you've got low beams and steep stairs. Mind your head. It's been renovated though, so the bathroom is modern and there's a wood burner in the sitting room.
There's a conservatory for dining, which is nice when it's sunny. The garden is compact, but it's private and gets the sun. There are a couple of areas to sit out, with chairs and a barbecue. You can see the fields from there.
The local pub is about a two minute walk. It does good food. The nearest shop is in Arundel, about three miles away.
You're right in the South Downs National Park. People walk and cycle past the door to get up to the South Downs Way. It's a good spot if you like walking. Arundel is close by. It's got the castle, a few decent places to eat, and you can go on the river there. Arundel Castle and Park is National Trust if you're a member.
If you want the beach, Climping or the Witterings are about a 25 minute drive. Chichester is half an hour away, for the theatre or the Roman Palace at Fishbourne. Brighton is also about 30 minutes by car.
