Freeland Farmhouse Stables is in Cootham, just on the edge of the South Downs. It's a converted stable for my farmhouse. You'll be next door to us, but you've got your own garden and terrace. The view from the front is over fields.
The cottage sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom, all on the ground floor. One room has a kingsize bed, the other has twins. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, with things like a wood burner and a dishwasher.
The living area is open plan with big doors that open onto the front terrace. The kitchen looks out the back towards where the gliding club is. You'll see the gliders going over on a good day. There are horses in the fields and our chickens roam about.
The garden is enclosed. There's parking right by the cottage.
You're right in the countryside here. There are public footpaths and bridleways from the gate. The RSPB reserve at Pulborough Brooks is about a mile away for walking and birdwatching. There's a pub a mile down the lane. Storrington village is a couple of miles, they've got shops and a few places to eat.
For a day out, Parham House is nearby for the house and gardens. The South Downs Way is accessible from here. Arundel with the castle and the river is about a 20 minute drive. The coast at Worthing or Littlehampton is about half an hour.
You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's wifi and a washing machine.
