House On The Brooks is in Ashington, West Sussex. It's a big, open-plan house built like an old Saxon hall, with the roof beams showing. It sleeps fourteen people across four bedrooms, and each bedroom has its own bathroom.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. It's a high-end place, designed for groups or big family gatherings. Everything is included, like bedding and towels, and there’s parking on site. No pets.
The house faces south, looking over fields and a brook in the valley. When it floods, it becomes a shallow lake and you get wading birds. Other times it’s just meadows. It’s very quiet. There's half a mile of private fishing on the River Rother, which runs next to the house. Footpaths start right from the garden.
Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve is about two miles away. It’s a major site for them. Good for long walks. The South Downs National Park is all around you. Parham House is four miles away and Petworth House, which is National Trust, is a short drive.
There’s a pub half a mile away and a shop about a mile. The coast is over thirteen miles, so it’s a drive for a beach day. Local golf at the West Sussex Golf Club.
