Crowell Shires

Crowell Shires is a barn conversion on our farm, just off Gay Street near Pulborough. It's on one level, which makes it simple. There's a small step into the shower, but that's about it.

You get two bedrooms. One has a double bed, the other has a super king that can be split into twins if you need it. There's one shower room. It sleeps four. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done to a high standard. It's clean and comfortable.

The main room is open plan. The kitchen is off to one side. There's a big farmhouse table and a sitting area with a smart TV. The original oak beams are all there. French doors open onto a terrace with a table and chairs. The view looks north over farmland towards the North Downs. It's a good spot.

Outside, there's a terrace and a separate enclosed courtyard. The whole area is fenced with latched gates, so it's secure if you have kids. We've got a few sheep and chickens around the farm. You'll see buzzards most days.

It's very rural here. The nearest shop is about two miles away in West Chiltington. There's a pub a mile and a half down the road. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Storrington or Pulborough.

You're right on the edge of the South Downs. The RSPB Pulborough Brooks nature reserve is just down the lane for walking and birdwatching. Parham House is about six miles south. Petworth House is a short drive west, maybe fifteen minutes. The coast at Worthing is roughly 14 miles, so about half an hour by car.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels are included, and you can park right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
