Woodlands Dairy Cottage is a detached house on a farm in Adversane. It was the old dairy for this farm. The farm is still working, with sheep and cattle. If you come in spring you can often see the lambs.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both rooms have their own bathroom. Everything is on one level and the doorways are wide, so it's suitable for a wheelchair. There's parking right outside.
The place has a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, and a TV. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. We take up to two.
You're on a farm track here, so it's quiet. There's a footpath right from the gate that goes into the woods and fields. You can walk for miles without seeing a road. We have space to store bikes if you bring them.
The nearest pub and shop are about a mile away, in Billingshurst. For a bigger shop, there's a Waitrose and a Lidl in Billingshurst too, about four miles.
It's a good spot for seeing things. The South Downs are about twenty minutes' drive. Petworth House and its park are close. Arundel Castle is worth a day. South Downs National Park has all the walking information.
If you want the coast, it's about forty minutes to places like Littlehampton or Worthing. Gatwick airport is forty minutes away if you're flying in.
In terms of facilities, it's all included: bedding, towels, WiFi. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden has a patio and a barbecue.
