The Old Workshop
The Old Workshop is in West Chiltington, West Sussex. It's a one-bedroom cottage on a small working farm, so it's quiet but you'll hear and see the horses and general farm activity. It sleeps two.
It's an open plan conversion from an old carpentry barn. High vaulted ceiling, some exposed timbers. There's a double bed in one corner, a small sofa, a dining table, and a kitchen area with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and combi oven-microwave. The shower room is modern. There's a little private courtyard out front with a table and chairs.
The stairs to the mezzanine sleeping area are quite steep, like a ship's ladder. Fine if you're mobile, but something to be aware of.
You're about a mile from the village shop and pub. The South Downs National Park starts about three miles away. For walks, the Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve is close and good for flat, open scenery. The Petworth House estate is about a 15-minute drive west. Parham House and Gardens are near Storrington, about ten minutes by car.
It's a 5 Star rated place, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. WiFi is included. There's a shared laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer you can use. All bedding and towels are provided.
