Northurst is in West Chiltington Common. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's nice and comfortable, not just functional.
The house is big. There's a main sitting room and then another living room that leads into the kitchen. The kitchen has a big island with an Aga. There's also an orangery with a dining table and sofas that looks out to the garden. It gets the evening sun.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a four-poster bed. There's another double bedroom and two more bedrooms with beds that can be set up as doubles or twins if you let us know. There's a study on this floor too. Then there's a second floor with a TV and games den. It's a good spot for kids to be on their own.
Outside, there's a car port with a table tennis table and a lawn at the front. At the back, there's a large patio and then a big, enclosed garden with trees around the edge. It's secure. You can bring one dog.
The village is quiet. There's a pub about five minutes' walk away, and a microbrewery just opposite. The proper village of West Chiltington is about a mile up the road, with shops and another pub. It's a peaceful spot, but not far from things.
The South Downs National Park starts about a mile away. You're about halfway along its length here. Good walks along the River Arun are nearby at Pulborough Wildbrooks. For a day out, Parham House is an Elizabethan house about three miles south. Petworth House and its deer park are about a 20-minute drive west. The area is known for vineyards, like Nyetimber, which is just a couple of miles away.
In terms of what's there: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, a cot and highchair. Parking on site. WiFi and a TV. There's an open fireplace you can use and a BBQ in the garden.
