The Old Carthouse

The Old Carthouse is in Ashurst, West Sussex. It's a detached single-storey barn conversion. You're down a quiet lane, surrounded by fields. It's all on one level, which is handy.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower. That's quite a good setup. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been refurbished, so it's comfortable and clean. Everything works.

The main room is open plan: kitchen, dining area, and living space. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. You've got a private garden with a patio and a BBQ.

You're about a 15 minute drive from the South Downs. For the beach, Worthing is about 15 minutes one way, and Brighton is about 25 minutes the other. Arundel, with the castle and the wetlands centre, is roughly 20 minutes away. There are a couple of decent pubs within two miles, and a shop about a mile away.

If you're bringing a dog, that's fine, up to two. We include bedding and towels. There's parking right there.
