This is Middle House. It's in Steyning, in the middle of the High Street, but set back behind a private courtyard so it's quiet. It's our own house we let out, so it feels like a home.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms. Both rooms have king size beds. There's one bathroom upstairs with a corner bath and a shower over it, and a separate cloakroom downstairs.
The stairs are fairly steep, it's an old Georgian house. The living room has a wood burner which is nice in winter. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a washing machine too. All the bedding and towels are here.
You can park one car on the driveway. WiFi is included. Sorry, no pets.
The town is a three minute walk. It's got nice independent shops, a few cafes, and some pubs. The South Downs start right at the edge of town. Shoreham-on-Sea and the coast is about a fifteen minute drive.
If you like walking, you can pick up the South Downs Way easily. Chanctonbury Ring is a good walk from here, about three miles up from the town. For a day out, places like Parham House or the Amberley Museum are within half an hour.
That's about it. It's a comfortable base if you want to explore the Downs or the coast.
