Harbourside

This is Harbourside, in Shoreham by Sea. It's a fourth-floor flat on the harbour mouth. The main thing is the view. It's a wall of glass looking south over the sea. You get a 180-degree panorama from the balconies, east towards Brighton and west over the river.

It's a modern build, so it’s all fairly new and straightforward inside. It sleeps three. There's a king-size bedroom and a single bedroom, and one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard.

You get an underground parking space and a lift up to the flat. Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are provided. No pets.

It's about a five-minute walk into the centre of Shoreham. There's a pub right on the riverfront. Plenty of cafes and places to eat. You can walk over the footbridge to Shoreham Beach, which is a shingle beach and nature reserve. From there you can walk along the coast. Brighton City Airport is at the west end of the beach, if you like watching light aircraft.

Brighton is about five miles east along the coast. For walking, the South Downs Way is just north of the town. The National Trust South Downs site is useful for planning. Chanctonbury Ring and Cissbury Ring are within a half-hour drive for good walks with views back to the coast.

Otherwise, the coastal towns west like Worthing are a short drive. Steyning, a nice old market town, is about 15 minutes north, just into the South Downs.
