Harbourside

Harbourside is an apartment on the fourth floor of a new block in Shoreham by Sea. It's on the west side, right by the mouth of the River Adur. The main thing about it is the view. You get a pretty much full sea view from east to west.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms: one with a king size bed, the other with a single. One bathroom with a shower over the bath.

The building has a lift from the underground car park up to the flat. The front door opens into a hall, and then you're straight into the main living area. It's all open plan. There are big windows and a balcony that runs the length of the room, so you get the view from inside or out. The kitchen is part of that space.

It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well finished and everything is in good order. It's comfortable.

You're a five-minute walk from the centre of Shoreham. There are shops, pubs and a few restaurants. One pub is right on the riverfront. The town is on the estuary, so the beach is on the other side of the water. You cross over the Adur Ferry Bridge to get to it. It's a shingle beach, about a mile from the flat.

Five miles east is Brighton, if you want the city stuff. Going west along the coast you've got Lancing and Worthing. North is the South Downs. There's good walking from Shoreham itself, like the South Downs Way. The Downs Link path starts here too, which is good for cycling as it's flat.

Facilities: there's the underground parking space, a lift, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot available. No pets.

If you're planning trips, the South Downs National Park site has good information.
