Rose Cottage is in Fulking. It’s a small terraced cottage, right at the foot of the South Downs. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We refurbished it a few years ago, so it's in good shape.
The kitchen has those bi-folding doors that open out to the garden. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. You can let them out there. There's a wood burner in the living room for cooler evenings.
The pub is about 200 yards away. It does food. The nearest shop is a couple of miles away in Hurstpierpoint, so it’s worth stopping on your way in.
You can walk straight out onto the South Downs from the door. Devil's Dyke is a popular spot. Brighton is about a 20-minute drive if you want the sea or the shops. The coast is about nine miles.
For days out, there are a few National Trust places within half an hour, like Nymans and Wakehurst. Arundel Castle is about 40 minutes by car.
Facilities wise: there’s a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the street outside the cottage. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
