Rose Cottage is in Fulking, right at the bottom of the Downs. It's a terraced place, one of a row. It's been done up. Wooden floors, beams, there's a wood burner. The kitchen has those big folding doors that open onto the garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are the main thing to know about. They're steep, spiral, and a bit narrow. Just take your time.
The Shepherd and Dog pub is about two minutes walk. They do food. The nearest shop is a couple of miles away in Hurstpierpoint, so you'll likely drive for that.
For walking, you're sorted. You can head straight up onto the Downs from here. Devil's Dyke is a good walk. Brighton is about 20 minutes by car if you want the shops or the sea.
If you want to see some gardens, Nymans is close. So is Wakehurst. The South Downs National Park website has maps and ideas.
What's here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ in the garden. You can bring one dog. Parking is on the street outside, it's usually fine.
