The Barton is in Steyning, which is a small town near the South Downs. It’s detached, with its own driveway. The place sleeps ten, in five bedrooms with three bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it’s well-finished and comfortable.
The house is spread over three floors so there’s plenty of room. Downstairs there’s a big lounge, a modern kitchen with a large dining table, and a utility room with a washing machine. Upstairs, three bedrooms have king size beds. One has its own ensuite shower. Another bedroom on this floor has adult-sized bunk beds and a cot. The top floor has another bedroom with a super king bed and good views.
Outside, there are three different patio areas with seating. There’s a fire pit at the back. Separate from the house, there’s a games room and a sports court you can use for tennis or badminton.
Steyning is about a ten minute walk away. It’s a proper market town with nice independent shops, a few pubs, cafes and a supermarket. It’s right on the edge of the South Downs National Park, so there are miles of footpaths right from the doorstep. Cissbury Ring and Chanctonbury Ring are both good local walks with great views.
Shoreham-by-Sea is about ten minutes away by car. Brighton is about half an hour’s drive. Arundel Castle, the Bluebell Railway, and Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve are all within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities: All bedding and towels are included. There’s WiFi, Smart TVs, a dishwasher, and parking on the driveway. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. No pets, sorry.
