The White House Retreat

The White House Retreat is a one-bedroom place just outside Worthing. It's an annexe to our main house, but it's got its own entrance and a private garden. You won't see us unless you need something.

We renovated it last year. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is new and works properly. It's all on one floor, which is handy. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room. The main space is open plan with a kitchen area, a sofa, and a wood burner. The floor is polished concrete, so it can feel a bit cool underfoot. There are rugs.

The main thing outside is the hot tub. It's in the enclosed garden, down a few steps. There's also a small gym shed at the bottom if you want it. The garden gets the sun in the afternoon.

You're about four miles from Worthing seafront. The nearest pub is a ten-minute walk. It does food. For a bigger day out, Brighton is a twenty-minute drive east. Arundel, with the castle and the wetlands, is about half an hour west.

You're right by the South Downs. The National Trust's Cissbury Ring is a short walk away. Goodwood and Fontwell racecourses are within a thirty-minute drive.

In terms of what's here: parking for one car, Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, towels and bedding are included. There's a cot in the cupboard if needed. No pets, sorry.

For planning walks or trips, the South Downs National Park site is useful.
