This is Elsie's Hut, in Blackstone. It's a shepherd's hut, built by Plankbridge. It's off-grid solar powered, so no mains electricity.
It sleeps two. One room really, with a double bed at one end and a shower room at the other. It's well made and feels new. There's a wood burner for heating. The water comes from a private well.
Outside is a covered cooking area with a camping stove, a barbecue, and a fire pit. You've got your own garden bit with a table and chairs. You can see the fields from the stable door.
It's on a smallholding, so there'll be sheep and a goat in the next field. Sometimes an alpaca.
You're on the edge of the South Downs National Park. Good walking straight from the gate. The nearest pub is a mile's walk down the lane, and there's a bar/restaurant about 700 yards away.
Brighton is a twenty minute drive away, over Devil's Dyke. The coast at Shoreham is about eight or nine miles.
For facilities: it's all on one level. There's parking here. Bedding and towels are included. You can have a cot or highchair. The Wi-Fi works fine. It's accessible with a ramp to the door, but the shower room threshold might be a step for some.
