The Granary At Gay Street Farm
The Granary is on our farm, Gay Street Farm. It's a conversion of an old grain store. You'll be surrounded by fields, but the farmyard itself is quiet.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and has two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well finished. The stairs are a bit steep, which is common in these old buildings. Bedroom two has a low door out to a small Juliet balcony.
It's very much in the countryside. The nearest pub and shop are about two miles away in West Chiltington. There's a good restaurant about three miles away. You'll need a car.
You can walk straight out from the cottage onto a bridleway. We've got a tennis court next door you're welcome to use, just bring your own rackets. If you're here in spring, you might see the lambing.
You're close to the South Downs. The RSPB reserve at Pulborough Brooks is a short drive for walks and birdwatching. The market town of Petworth is a few miles west, with Petworth House and its parkland. Parham House is also nearby.
This is a big wine region now. Nyetimber vineyard is about a mile up the road.
For facilities, you've got the main things. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Underfloor heating downstairs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. Sorry, no pets.
