The Granary is what it says it is, a granary conversion. It's on a working farm in Gay Street, just outside Pulborough. The road here is quiet. It's really countryside.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, both with king size beds. Two bathrooms as well, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's been done up nicely. It's warm, with underfloor heating. The kitchen is open plan and has what you need, including one of those Nespresso machines.
Upstairs, it still looks like a granary with the good bits left in, like the brickwork and oak beams. The master bedroom has a shower room attached. The second bedroom has a door that opens onto a small Juliet balcony. You get a view across the farmland from there. Both have USB sockets next to the beds.
Outside, there's a south-facing patio with a table. If you want to walk, you can get straight onto a bridleway from the side gate. The owners are next door and they sometimes let guests use their tennis court if you ask. It's a farm, so depending on the time of year you might see the lambs or other things going on.
You're two miles from the nearest pub and shop. For a restaurant, it's about three miles. The coast is about fourteen miles away.
For things to do, you're right on the edge of the South Downs. The RSPB site at Pulborough Brooks is very close for birdwatching. The National Trust's Petworth House is a few miles west. Parham House is about six miles south. Goodwood, Fontwell Racecourse, and Cowdray Park Polo are all within a half hour's drive if that's your sort of thing.
For facilities, it has the things you'd expect. There's parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's a BBQ outside. Sorry, no pets.
