Keeds Barn
Keeds Barn is in Pickhurst, in the Sussex countryside. It's a one-bedroom place for two people. It's detached and sits in a landscaped garden I share with the cottage next door. The garden has an orchard and looks out to a paddock.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's finished to a high standard. Everything's clean, modern and works properly. Downstairs is open plan, with a seating area, kitchen and a breakfast bar. The bedroom is upstairs. It's a peaceful room with a kingsize bed. The bathroom is en-suite with a shower.
Outside, there's a covered patio area. Good for a morning coffee. There's parking on site and an electric vehicle charging point for one car.
You're right in the South Downs National Park. There are public footpaths from the door for walks. The RSPB Pulborough Brooks nature reserve is local. You can hire kayaks from Pulborough Paddles on the river Arun.
By car, Petworth with its shops and house is about eight miles. Arundel Castle is under 15 miles. Chichester cathedral and the theatre are about 19 miles south. The beach at West Wittering is a straightforward drive. Goodwood, for the horse racing and motor events, is within easy reach too.
There's a supermarket five minutes away. A few country pubs nearby. Pulborough has a train station. You can get to London Victoria in about an hour and twenty minutes, or go the other way to Brighton.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, WiFi, TV and parking. No pets. It can be booked together with Keeds Cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
