The Barn is here in Tillington. It's a detached barn conversion on its own, not attached to any other buildings. You get a gated gravel drive for parking and the garden to yourselves. It was refurbished recently. The rating is high, but mostly it just means everything is new, works properly, and is clean.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Upstairs is the main bedroom with a king-size bed and a twin room. The family bathroom is between them. Downstairs there's another shower room, which is handy.
The main thing about the place is the view. The front looks straight out over fields to Petworth House parkland. The back terrace gets the sun and has the same view over the garden to the South Downs. There are sun loungers and a table out there.
The stairs are fine. The kitchen is a galley style, so it's long and narrow, but it's well equipped. There's underfloor heating downstairs for cooler days.
You can walk to the local pub. It's award-winning, so they must be doing something right. Petworth House and its deer park are directly opposite. They're looked after by the National Trust. It's a good day out if you like art or just walking in the park.
Petworth town is about a mile or so away. It's full of antique shops and little teashops. Midhurst is a ten-minute drive. You've got the Cowdray ruins there and the polo. Bignor Roman Villa is about twenty minutes away. The mosaics are impressive.
Goodwood is about twenty-five minutes south, depending on which event might be on. Chichester is about half an hour. It's a Georgian city, good for a day of shopping and seeing the cathedral. For walks, you're right in the South Downs National Park.
Inside, you’ve got a TV, WiFi, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's also a bike storage. No pets, sorry.
