The Barn At Tillington
The Barn is in Tillington village, just outside Petworth. It's a converted barn, so it's a solid, single-storey building. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bathroom is a shower room on the ground floor. The other is upstairs between the bedrooms, with a bath. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up to a high standard and is very comfortable. Underfloor heating downstairs keeps it warm.
The main thing is the view. The living room and the terrace look straight out over fields towards the South Downs. It's very quiet. The local pub is a short walk away. It's won awards.
You're opposite Petworth House. That's a National Trust place with a huge deer park. It's literally across the road. For a walk, you can just go straight there. Petworth House and Park.
Petworth town is about a mile away. It's got antique shops and cafes. Midhurst is ten minutes by car. Goodwood, for the horse racing or the Festival of Speed, is about twenty minutes drive. Chichester is half an hour.
For facilities, it's got a dishwasher, wifi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it. No pets.
