Cobblers Cottage is in Petworth, right across the road from Petworth House and the park. It's an old cottage, so it's spread over three floors. You park off the lane at the back.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep. It's not great if you have trouble with steps.
The garden is a good size and is fully enclosed. There's a patio with a table and chairs and a barbecue. You can bring two dogs.
The kitchen is downstairs on the lower ground floor. It's got a dishwasher and washing machine. The main sitting room is on the ground floor with an open fireplace. There's a TV and WiFi.
Petworth town is a five minute walk. There are pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and lots of antique shops. The shop is handy.
Over the road is Petworth House. You can walk in the deer park from there. It's good for dogs. The house itself has a cafe.
Within a 30 minute drive you've got a few places. The Weald & Downland Living Museum is about 20 minutes away. Arundel Castle is about the same. Cowdray Park is ten minutes away if you're into polo or golf. Goodwood is half an hour for the motor racing or festival.
For the coast, it's about 40 minutes to get to places like West Wittering.
