Honeysuckle Cottage is just outside Petworth town, right by the wall of Petworth House park. It's a one-bedroom cottage for two people. You get the garden to yourselves. It looks out over fields and the valley. It's quiet.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. The upstairs bedroom is a good size with a kingsize bed. The bathroom has a bath with a hand shower. The stairs are a spiral staircase, which is fine but a bit narrow.
You're a short walk from the centre of Petworth. There are a few pubs that do food, and some nice shops and cafes. The town has most of what you need. For a bigger shop, there's a Co-op.
Petworth House and Park is literally right there. You can walk into the park from the end of the lane. It's National Trust. Petworth House is well worth a visit if you like art and history.
Within about half an hour you can get to a few different places. Goodwood is about 20 minutes away for the horse racing or the motor events. Chichester is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes, for the cathedral, shopping and the theatre. Arundel Castle is about a 30 minute drive. The south coast, like the Witterings beaches, is also within half an hour.
For walks, the South Downs are all around. The South Downs National Park website has good route ideas.
In terms of what's there: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, parking for one car, and WiFi. The TV has Netflix. We provide all the bedding and towels. A travel cot is available if you need it. Sorry, no pets.
