Sybs Farm Shepherds Hut is on Windfallwood Common in West Sussex. It's really for two people. The owners built it themselves.
It’s two separate huts. One hut is the bedroom and bathroom, with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower. You have to go outside to get to the other hut, which is the kitchen and living space. It's a proper fitted kitchen with a dishwasher. The idea is you get a bit more room than in a single hut. It's in a wooded spot.
It's a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-finished, but it's still a shepherds hut experience.
For walking and cycling it’s very good. You're right by Black Down, which is the highest point in the South Downs. The Serpent Trail footpath goes from Haslemere to Petersfield through here. Marley Common is close by for a simpler stroll.
The Noah's Ark pub in Lurgashall is about a five minute drive. It has a good reputation. The village has a shop and post office too. Haslemere is a short drive for supermarkets and other things.
Petworth is about twelve minutes away by car. It's a nice old town with antique shops and cafes. Petworth House is there, it's a National Trust place with a big art collection and parkland. The National Trust Petworth page has all the details.
Goodwood is just over half an hour's drive if you're interested in the motor circuit events or the house.
Facilities included are bedding, towels, WiFi, a TV, and parking. There's an outside patio area. No pets.
