Yew Tree Granary
Yew Tree Granary is in Hardham, West Sussex. It's a one-bedroom cottage for two people. It's on the ground floor of an old granary building in our garden.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and comfortable, but not posh. The kitchen is small. It has a two-ring hob and a combination microwave oven. It's fine for simple meals, but you won't be doing a big roast. The local pub is half a mile away though, which helps.
The best thing about it is the view. You have a private patio that looks right out over the Pulborough Brooks towards the South Downs. It's a nice spot to sit out in the evening.
It's very good for walking. The cottage is right next to the River Arun and the Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve is practically on the doorstep. You can walk for miles along the riverbanks. It's also inside the South Downs National Park.
Petworth is about four miles away. It's a nice town to wander around, with antique shops and cafes. Petworth House is there, which is National Trust. Parham House is also nearby if you like historic homes.
The facilities are what you'd expect: there's a shower, TV, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's space for bikes if you need it.
