Churchfield Stables
This is Churchfield Stables. It's a one-bedroom cottage on our farm in West Chiltington. Sleeps two. It's got a 5 Star grading, which means it's been done up to a high standard.
The cottage is a conversion from the old stables. Downstairs is open plan, a living room and kitchen area. Upstairs is the bedroom with a king-size bed. The bedroom has a glass front that looks down over the living area and out to the fields, so it's very light. There's a small balcony up there off the bedroom.
Outside, there's a courtyard with a table and chairs. You're welcome to sit there. You'll see the horses in the yard.
The village is about a mile's walk. It's a proper Sussex village with a 12th century church and a couple of pubs. The shop is there too.
We're on the edge of the South Downs National Park. It's about three miles to the park boundary. Good walking from here. The RSPB reserve at Pulborough Brooks is close by if you like birdwatching.
Petworth is about ten minutes' drive west. Petworth House is there, it's National Trust. Arundel with the castle is about half an hour south. The coast, around Littlehampton or Worthing, is roughly thirty minutes drive.
For facilities: you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you bring them. No pets, I'm afraid, because of the farm animals.
