Priory Cottage

Priory Cottage is in Arundel. It’s a one-bedroom cottage, so it’s just for two people. The bedroom is upstairs, and so is the living room. Both have sloping ceilings. The ceilings are low in places, so watch your head if you’re tall.

Downstairs is the kitchen and dining area, and a modern shower room. The stairs are steep. They’re cottage stairs.

Outside the front door there’s a gravel area with a table and chairs. It gets the sun. There’s a paddock next to the property you can walk through to get a good view of the town, the castle, and the cathedral.

The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It’s comfortable and well kept. There’s on-site parking, which is handy. You can bring up to three dogs.

You’re about a ten-minute walk from the town centre and the railway station. There’s a pub half a mile away. The station has direct trains to London if you fancied a day trip.

Arundel itself is a historic market town. The castle is the main thing. It’s impressive. It’s open seasonally. The Arundel Castle website has all the dates. The Wetland Centre is also worth a visit if you like birdwatching.

The coast is about a twenty-minute drive. Littlehampton and Climping Beach are the nearest. Goodwood and Fontwell racecourses are within half an hour. Chichester with its theatre is about twenty minutes away by car.

For walking, you’re on the edge of the South Downs. The South Downs National Park site has route ideas.

Facilities include a TV, bike storage, and all bedding and towels are provided. The garden area is enclosed.
