Priory Cottage is a terraced cottage on Station Road in Arundel. It's just for two people. That's the main thing. It's a proper one-bedroom place, not a studio.
You come in through the kitchen. It's a decent size with a table. The shower room is off there. The stairs go up to the living room. The ceilings are low and sloped up there, so watch your head. The bedroom is through an archway from the living room. Same low ceilings, same character. It feels old, which it is.
Outside the front is a small gravel area with a table and chairs. It gets the sun. There's a paddock behind the cottage. If you walk up the hill there, you get a good view back over the town towards the castle.
Arundel town centre is about a fifteen-minute walk. There are shops, cafes, and pubs. The castle and the cathedral are the big sights. The castle grounds are very good for a wander. It’s a steep climb up the keep.
The river is nice. You can walk along it or take a boat trip. The WWT Arundel Wetland Centre is just outside town if you like that sort of thing.
For the coast, Climping and Littlehampton West Beach are about a twenty-minute drive. It's shingle and sand, not too built-up. Goodwood is about twenty-five minutes away for the races or the festival. Chichester is about half an hour.
Practical stuff: It's got a 4 Star rating. There's parking for one car on the gravel. WiFi and TV are included. Bedding and towels are provided. There's an enclosed garden area. You can bring up to three dogs, but please keep them off the furniture.
