Skylark Yurt is in a field on our farm in Melplash. It's a proper yurt, fully insulated, so it's warm in winter and cool in summer. You get it to yourselves.
It sleeps two in a superking bed. There's a wood burner inside for heat. The kitchen and toilet are in a separate little cabin about five metres away. That's where the shower is too.
Outside there's a deck with chairs, a fire pit, and your own wood-fired hot tub. The hot tub looks out over one of the lakes. You can swim in the lakes if you want, it's clean but cold. There's an orchard and some meadows to walk around.
The yurt is off-grid for power, but we run a cable from the cabin so you can charge phones and things. There's a gas hob and a cool box in the kitchen cabin. Bedding and towels are included.
You can walk to the village pub in about ten minutes. They do food.
For days out, Bridport is about four miles away. It's a proper market town with shops and a cinema. The Jurassic Coast is about half an hour's drive. Charmouth beach is good for fossils. Lyme Regis is a bit further along. We're in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so the walking is good right from the gate.
You can bring two dogs. There's parking next to the yurt.
Sometimes we do wood-fired pizza evenings in our oven. It's £15 per adult if we're doing it while you're here. No pressure to join in.
