Hooke Court
Hooke Court is a very old moated manor house in Hooke, Dorset. It sleeps twenty-three people. There are eleven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
It's a big, spacious place for large family holidays or group trips. It's not a hotel, it's part of a school site, but you get the house and its private garden to yourselves. It's been modernised but it still feels like an old house.
Inside, there's a drawing room with an open fire, a big dining room, and a games room. The stairs are old house stairs, so they're a bit uneven in places.
The garden is large. You can see the lake from the house.
It's about three and a half miles to the nearest shops and pubs in Beaminster. For the coast, West Bay and Bridport are about ten or eleven miles away. Chesil Beach is close too. Dorchester is thirteen miles.
There's a lot of history around here. You've got Maiden Castle, Cerne Abbas with the giant carving, and Hardy's Cottage all within a half hour drive.
For facilities, you've got wi-fi, TVs, a dishwasher, washing machine, and parking on site. Bedding is included. No pets, sorry.
